VISCOR Organo Clay - Rheology Additive
VISCOR Organo Clay - Rheology Additive

Rheology Additive (Organo Clay)

Viscor Organo Clay can form a gel in various organic solvents, oils, and liquid resins. It has good thickening, thixotropy, suspension stability, high temperature stability, lubricity, film-forming properties, water resistance and chemical stability. Especially has important application value in the coating industry. In addition, it is also widely used in industries such as printing ink, grease, metallurgy, petroleum drilling, and polymer.

Features :

  • Easy Dispersion
  • Anti-Sediment
  • Excellent Suspension
  • Good Viscosity
  • Super Thioxotropy
  • Emultion Stability

Applications :

  • Anti-Corrosion Coatings
  • Wood Primer
  • Road Marking Coatings
  • Putty Materials
  • Ink
  • Lubricating Grease and Oil Drilling

Use Methods :

Dry Powder Method : Dry powder method is that add the dry powder directly into the system during the production process, it doesn’t need the polar activator.

Pre-Gel Method : For poor wettability resin systems (such as epoxy, polystern short oil alkyd resin etc) it is better to use Viscor series by pre-gel. (1) Composed of pre-gel: Solvent87%, organic bentonite 8-10%, polar activator 3-4% (2) Preparation of pregel: Solvent and organic bentonite (mixed 10 min, fully wettability), then add the polar activator (stirring for 5 min, fill expansion).
